CNN Launches New Show To Try And Improve Ratings: The Roe Jogan Exposure

ATLANTA, GA - With rumors of mass layoffs swirling, CNN is doing everything possible to reverse the downward trend of ratings and revenue, including launching a new show: The Roe Jogan Exposure.

“We’re not at all trying to copy The Joe Rogan Experience,” CEO Sir Mark Thompson told The Gas Lamp. “In this new age of streaming, you have to adapt and come up with fresh ideas. And after seeing the success of so many podcasts, we just had a gut feeling that this concept would work.

According to Thompson, the idea for the show came when he was reviewing a list of employees the company planned to lay off and discovered that one of their Business News Analysts shared a name similar to the famous UFC commentator.

“It’s true, one of our researchers shares a very similar name with Joe Rogan. And it’s just a coincidence that he is also bald, loves MMA, and is fascinated by UFOs. But make no mistake, The Roe Jogan Exposure is a completely original idea and has nothing to do with the most viewed podcast in the world. Got it?!”

While Thompson continued to reiterate that they were not mimicking Rogan’s podcast in any way, he confirmed that the new CNN show will feature three to four-hour interviews with experts from a variety of backgrounds like tech, science, politics, academia, comedy, and professional sports.

At press time, CNN announced they planned to continue to appeal to a younger audience with a new, unique sketch comedy show called Friday Night Live
