Nintendo Releases Sequel To Luigi’s Mansion: Luigi's Ghost Gun 3
KYOTO, JAPAN - With just a few weeks until Christmas, Nintendo announced on Monday that they would be releasing a new game in their long-running Luigi’s Mansion series: Luigi’s Ghost Gun 3.
The announcement comes shortly after police identified Luigi Mangione as the primary suspect in the murder of the United Healthcare CEO, Brian Thomson, and discovered that he was carrying an illegal “ghost gun” along with a manifesto.
“Thanks to the help of the community, we’ve arrested Luigi Mangione, who we believe was responsible for the murder of Brian Thompson,” NYPD Detective Tom O’Sullivan said. “We discovered that Mr. Luigi was carrying an illegal gun that may have been 3-D printed - otherwise known as a ghost gun. We also found a manifesto heavily criticizing the healthcare industry, along with a strange conclusion referencing some fictional character with the same name as the suspect who runs around a castle fighting ghosts - which we have not yet been able to decipher.”
Despite the coincidental timing, Nintendo’s CEO Shuntaro Furukawa claims that the release of the new game has nothing to do with the recent murder in New York City. “Luigi’s Ghost Gun 3 is a fun game for all ages where players roam around an imaginary world and shoot ghosts to unlock new worlds. There is no relation to Luigi Mangione, and I don’t see how anyone could mistake our new game as being influenced by that.”
At press time, the NYPD said they also discovered that Luigi Mangione may have worked with an accomplice named Mario Bonaventure.
