When grilled by reporters in a press conference on Monday afternoon, Trump pulled a crumpled document from his pocket as clear legal evidence that he can run again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI totally can run for a third term,\u201d Trump boasted. \u201cSee this? It\u2019s a coupon I found in the attic that says, \u2018The owner of this coupon can get 1 free extra term.\u2019 It has the official presidential seal and everything.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
President Trump further speculated that the card was likely made by President Franklin D. Roosevelt, intended as a gift to his successor, amidst fears that the Supreme Court would soon ban presidents from serving more than two terms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
