\u200b\u201cHe\u2019s mysterious like that,\u201d one of Hansen\u2019s coworkers told her after the meeting. \u201cIf you seem too confused or disappointed, he’ll think you\u2019re shallow and only interested in money. If you seem too happy, he\u2019ll know you\u2019re not serious about the job and won\u2019t give you the raise.
