WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressional Democrats are furious about President Trump’s recent and unexpected decision to go to war with Iran, demanding that he get official approval to “kill sand people” before going any further. “President Trump’s actions are utterly unconstitutional,” Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer said in a press conference on Wednesday. “We strongly condemn his decision to attack Iran before Congress passes a resolution to go to war.” Schumer went on to make it clear that the Democratic caucus had no issue with bombing brown people, just that they didn’t consult him first. House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries backed up Schumer’s sentiment later that afternoon, saying, “We don’t care how many goat herders he carpet bombs. But the members of this Congress have been in D.C. a lot longer than Trump and his gang. If he had just consulted us first, we could have told him the best way to really milk this thing out for as long as possible.”
