TUCSON, AZ – As the search for Nancy Guthrie enters its fourth week, investigators announced that they made a major breakthrough in the case by discovering a really cool rock just feet away from her front door.
“I’m pleased to announce that today, members of the Arizona State Police, along with our allies in the FBI, discovered a really cool rock near her home,” Tucson Police Chief Bob Gutierrez said.
While the discovery doesn’t bring them any closer to determining who kidnapped Guthrie, Chief Gutierrez went on to suggest that finding the rock was a huge morale booster for the agents, who have been feeling discouraged after making virtually zero progress in the case over the past month.
“This is really the boost we needed,” Officer Thomas Franklin said. “When my partner, Officer Johnson, found the rock, I immediately texted my wife a photo with the good news. I haven’t gotten much sleep over the past few weeks, but this really puts the work we do in perspective.”
At press time, the FBI announced that it was analyzing evidence of a possible rare four-leaf clover found in Nancy Guthrie’s garden.
