Trump Finds “1 Free Extra Term” Coupon In White House Attic As Proof He Can Run Again

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Adding to the list of things that are throwing Democrats into a spiral, President Trump announced earlier last week that he plans to "workaround" the 22nd Amendment and seek a third term in 2028.

When grilled by reporters in a press conference Monday afternoon, Trump pulled a crumpled document from his pocket as clear legal evidence that he could run again.

"I totally can run for a third term," Trump boasted. "See this? It's a coupon I found in the attic that says, 'The owner of this coupon can get 1 free extra term.' It has the official presidential seal and everything."

President Trump further speculated that the card was likely made by President Franklin D. Roosevelt intended as a gift to his successor amidst fears that the Supreme Court would soon ban presidents from serving more than two terms.

Another possible explanation, he claimed, is that it was something President George W. Bush made when he got bored with listening to Vice President Dick Cheney talk about geopolitics in the Middle East.

"It's unclear how nobody found it until now," Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said. "Maybe nobody bothered to clean under the bed before now. I heard the place was disgusting after Obama left. Regardless, under no circumstance did Trump draw this in his free time."

At press time, Trump announced that he found another coupon in his sock drawer that allowed him to put all district judges he didn't like in a time-out for 1 hour.
